REAL MADRID have launched an ambitious move to land Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata, it has been claimed.
Hazard is a major target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window while Don Balon claim Morata wants to return to the Bernabeu.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has reportedly cooked up a transfer plot to get the wheels in motion for both players to leave Stamford Bridge.
According to Don Balon, Perez is proposing a triple-player swap deal involving Gareth Bale plus £132million (€150m) for Hazard and Morata.
Bale looks certain to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after an injury-plagued spell.
The Wales international has found himself on the bench for crunch games in recent months.
He was limited to substitute appearances in December’s El Clasico defeat and the Champions League games against Paris Saint-Germain.
Express Sport exclusively revealed in February that Real Madrid were preparing to offer Bale plus £100m to Chelsea for Hazard.
However, reports of Morata’s unhappiness at Chelsea appears to have caused Bernabeu bigwigs to rethink their transfer strategy
Morata ended his Premier League goal drought with a strike in yesterday’s defeat against Tottenham but Don Balon claim he regrets his move from Real Madrid to Chelsea.
The 25-year-old was left out of Spain’s squad for the recent international friendlies and is in danger of missing out on the World Cup.
Hazard, meanwhile, has been stalling on a contract extension and Chelsea could find it difficult to hold onto their star man if they miss out on next season’s Champions League as expected.
