ARSENAL chiefs have already given Unai Emery a vote of confidence after his side were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City.

The Gunners were comfortably swept aside by Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions at the Emirates, highlighting the gulf in class that still remains between the two teams.
Sections of the Arsenal support believe Emery has not done enough in his short time in charge based on the Manchester City performance, while Tony Adams and Sam Allardyce have been critical after one game.
However, the Daily Mirror report that club officials met with the Spaniard in the wake of the defeat to reassure the new boss he is not expected to perform miracles overnight.
Emery brought in five new arrivals over the summer, although the club appreciate most of his Arsenal squad has been inherited from Arsene Wenger.

Only two of the new faces started the game with Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira and Stephan Lichtsteiner on the bench.
But Emery will be given time to implement his style and approach.
Speaking after the City defeat on Sunday, he said: "The first half we didn't play like we wanted.
"We spoke at half-time about taking more responsibility for the second half, to do a little more.
We wanted to build with the ball and break their lines.

"I think in the second half we played more like we want."
Emery will be hoping to bounce back from his opening defeat.
However, the bookmakers currently have little faith that the former PSG boss will remain in his job for the full length of his four-year deal.
Coral makes Emery odds on, at 1-4, to not see out his entire Emirates deal.
“Ivan Gazidis has taken the unusual step of already reminding the new boss that he will be given plenty of time to succeed at Arsenal," said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
But even a season is a long time now in modern football and we expect Emery to depart before he sees out the contract he was given back in May."
The Gunners face another tough task this weekend as they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
The Blues have also appointed a new manager in Maurizio Sarri, who got his tenure underway with a 3-0 win on Saturday.
Arsenal vs Chelsea kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday evening.
