Liverpool visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday buoyed after reaching the Champions League final following their 7-6 aggregate win over Roma.
After his two-goal heroics in the first leg, Salah was surprisingly subdued against his former club on Wednesday night.
But the Egyptian will be facing another of his old teams when he takes on Chelsea on Sunday.
Salah, joined Chelsea in 2014 but struggled under Jose Mourinho and after two loan spells was sold to Roma, where he played alongside Rudiger.

If I play, it will be a direct duel against Salah. The good thing is, I'm not slow
Antonio Rudiger
Both players have since left Serie A to ply their trade in the Premier League and are likely to face off against each other.
Salah has scored 42 goals in all competitions for Liverpool but Rudiger believes he has what it takes to keep the attacker quiet.

They were once team-mates at Roma.
He told BBC's Football Focus: “If I play, it will be a direct duel against Salah. The good thing is, I'm not slow!”
Rudiger also paid tribute to Salah, revealing his success is no surprise to him.
Rudiger added: "To be very honest, he is the most polite guy I have ever met in football. He is a fantastic person.
"Of course, you are always a bit surprised but I know his abilities and his potential and I knew he would be good for Liverpool."
