FC Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has commented on the rumours linking his international teammate and friend Neymar with a return to the Camp Nou.
The 26-year-old, who joined Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of this season, is reportedly unhappy with life in the French capital and there is speculation he wants a return to LaLiga.
Barca star Ivan Rakitic came out over the weekend saying he would welcome Neymar back with open arms should he want to return to the Blaugrana, and Coutinho has since echoed his sentiment.
“With Neymar, that’s life, but I have the same feelings as Rakitic,” Coutinho said, as quoted by Marca.
“He is a great player, I play with him for the international team and it is a real privilege. It would be great if he came back and, of course, we would open the door to that.”
Although Neymar is believed to be unhappy in Paris, he has certainly put in some good performances for PSG this season, having scored 29 goals in 30 appearances for the club so far.
