The former Manchester United star has been linked with an exit from Real after this season, with reports claiming he is furious with the club for not offering him an improved contract.
However, Zidane has insisted he is not interested in these rumours and only talks to Ronaldo about what’s happening on the field.
“What I am most interested in is the pitch, that is what I talk to Cristiano about,” he responded when asked about the “Ronaldo exit” rumours at a press conference, as quoted by ESPN journalist Dermot Corrigan.
“I do not want to talk about the contract, or these things. He manages that himself, I do not get into that.
“We know that people can talk and debate outside, but inside Cristiano must just think about playing, as he has always done. And I just want to talk about this, what he can bring to the team on the pitch, nothing else.”
The Frenchman also reiterated that he cannot imagine his side without the 32-year-old.
“I do not imagine Cristiano anywhere else,” he added.
“He is at his club, where he should be, everyone loves him here, at the club, the fans. I cannot see Madrid without Cristiano.”
