Chelsea supporters have been making a lot of noise in the Transfer Tavern this weekend after seeing their side come from behind to beat Newcastle United 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, thus securing a sixth Premier League win in their last seven matches.
Antonio Conte’s men went into their clash with the Magpies off the back of beating Swansea City 1-0 in midweek, yet they made a poor start in West London on Saturday as Dwight Gayle gave the North East giants an early lead. However, that only served to spark the Blues into life as a brace from Eden Hazard alongside a fine Alvaro Morata header was enough to secure all three points for the hosts, and thus condemn Rafa Benitez to a disappointing return to Stamford Bridge following his short spell in charge back in 2013.

Thus, there have been many delighted Chelsea fans in the Tavern this weekend, many of whom are eagerly anticipating their team’s Champions League clash with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid at the Bridge on Tuesday night, with Conte’s side knowing that victory will secure them top spot in Group C.
In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident Blues fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports linking them with a move for Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio.
The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and laid on two assists in 20 appearances for Zinedine Zidane’s men this term, four goals and two assists of which have come in their so far below-par defence of their La Liga title.
And reports suggest that Chelsea are interested in the Spain international, and were Asensio to make the move to Stamford Bridge in January, here are TWO other stars who could follow him to West London…

Richarlison

Richarlison may only have moved to English football with Watford in the summer, but his performances suggest that he has made a seamless adaptation to the Premier League.
The 20-year-old has scored five goals and laid on four assists in just 15 league appearances for the Hornets, helping Marco Silva’s side to eighth place in the division with 22 points from their 15 games.
And the Brazilian youngster appears to already have attracted admirers in the form of Chelsea and Tottenham, and with the former ideally in need of further reinforcements to their squad in January, it’s a move they must seek to get done.

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley’s future at Everton has been subject to speculation for a while now, and it remains to be seen whether the appointment of new Toffees chief Sam Allardyce has any bearing on his decision.
The 23-year-old’s contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season and as of yet no extension has been agreed, or even looks close to being agreed, and the Merseysiders may seek to cash in on the England international in January should the situation remain unchanged.
And with Barkley getting extremely close to moving to Chelsea back in the summer, only for a deal to fall through for one reason or another, the Blues may well seek to resurrect a move in the New Year.
