Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has rated highly the
impact of summer arrival from Everton, Romelu Lukaku, saying
that he’s the player that has surprised him the most.
The Belgium international has started the 2017/18 season
impressively, helping the Red Devils climb at the top of the
Premier League table, a place which United share with
Manchester City, who have a better goal difference than
Mourinho’s side.

And Manchester Evening News are reporting that the former
Chelsea man has surprised the Portugese manager.
Mourinho worked with Lukaku during their time at Chelsea, but
the player has improved drastically after spells at West Brom and
Everton.

Eight goals in as many matches for United are his numbers, and
those were clearly enough to surprise the Special One.
He told Match of the Day : “I knew that he would always score
goals. I knew that he would score more goals for us than for
Everton or West Bromwich Albion, that’s logic.
“But I was not expecting him to be match after match putting
the ball in the net.”
