The Blues secured their fourth win of the season on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
After a goalless first half, Pedro opened the scoring minutes after coming on before Eden Hazard doubled Chelsea’s lead five minutes from time.
The result leaves the Blues level on points with Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp’s side top the Premier League table thanks to their superior goal difference.
Defender Alonso provided the assist for Pedro’s opener as the Spaniard continued his impressive start to the season.
Aside from his assist, Chelsea fans loved what Alonso did before the game.
After arriving at Stamford Bridge, Alonso walked out for a pitch inspection before kick-off.
And after walking out onto the hallowed turf, Alonso soon spotted a young fan and quickly made his way over to speak to him.
“Hi, how are you?” Alonso asked. “Have you been on holidays?”
And supporters were quick to hail Alonso’s kind gesture.
“Alonso is really kind to the fans. Much respect,” one fan wrote.
Another said: “Marcos Alonso is class on and off the pitch!”
“Alonso is the man,” a third fan commented.
The youngster responded: “Yeah I’ve been on holiday.”
“You’ve been on the beach instead of coming to see me?” Alonso joked.
Alonso chatted with the youngster before signing the back of his shirt and giving him a hug.
“Thank you Marcos,” the young lad said excitedly.
