Olivier Giroud claims his passion for skiing helped him to leave Southampton players on a heap as he slalomed his way to scoring the opening goal in Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final win over the Saints on Sunday.
The France international continued his fine form at Wembley where he has yet to experience defeat in 10 club games during spells with Arsenal and now Chelsea.
The former Gunners star will hope he has now secured first choice status over Alvaro Morata under Antonio Conte to start in the final against Manchester United as his inspired movement through the Southampton defence broke the deadlock and helped the Blues book a place in the FA Cup final for the second year in a row.
Giroud said he enjoys playing at Wembley as he explained his thought process for his wonder strike.
"My second passion is skiing!" The 2017 Puskas award winner told The Mirror after the game.
I saw a lot of people in front of me and I just tried to dribble a little bit and I had a bit of luck but that's what I wanted to do.

"I told them I really want them to enjoy the FA Cup as I know how special it is to win it. It's like my garden and I love to play here.
Giroud's form is likely to secure his place in Les Bleus' World Cup squad for Russia 2018, but first he will hope to continue his love affair with the FA Cup by winning it for the fourth time in his career.
Giroud started up front for Arsenal last season as the Gunners secured FA Cup glory over Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in last year's final and now he will be hoping to repeat the feat in blue.
