The 2017/18 LaLiga title seems destined to be Barcelona‘s, but there is still a lot for the Blaugrana to fight for, not least in terms of records.

Ernesto Valverde’s men have yet to lose a single match and are targeting an invincible LaLiga season, something that has never been done before.
Even if they manage just four more rounds without losing then they’ll have reached another unbeaten record, that of the Real Sociedad side of the 1980s.
By continuing to come up with three-point hauls, Barcelona could even break the points record for a LaLiga season, that of 100.
Currently they’re on 69 and would have to win every match remaining to hit the 102-point mark, while 10 victories and one draw would see them equal the totals posted by the 2011/12 Real Madrid and the 2012/13 Barcelona sides.
As for the goals scored record, this is also difficult, but not impossible.
Already they have scored 70 goals this league season, but they would need 51 over the course of the final 11 matches to match the 121 scored by Jose Mourinho’s swashbuckling side of 2011/12.
At the other end of the pitch, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is battling with Jan Oblak for the Zamora Award and both goalkeepers have a chance of beating the record for the fewest goals conceded, currently held by Francisco Liano, who let in just 18 in the 38 matches of the 1993/94 season.
Oblak is currently on 12 goals conceded, with Ter Stegen has let in 13.

At the end of the day, though, what will matter most to the Barcelona players will be the LaLiga medal and Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta are set for an eighth league title.
It’s still some way behind the 12 titles of Paco Gento, but it would be an extraordinary achievement nonetheless
