Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has congratulated David Beckham on launching his long-planned Major League Soccer team.
Messi also welcomed the possibility of joining him in Miami
The Argentine international sent Beckham messages via his Twitter account, saying: “Hi David, first of all congratulations.”

“I hope all goes well with the new project, in this new step you are taking and who knows, in a few years maybe you will give me a call,” Messi wrote.
Messi recently signed a new contract at the Catalan club that earns him £500,000-a-week and runs until 2021, while his buyout clause is £626m.
Beckham will have to wait for Messi’s contract to expire in 2021, when he’ll be 34 years old.
Speaking about his new Miami club, Beckham said: “I’m excited to bring this great team to this great cit, it has been a hell of a journey.
“I promise you the team we will bring into the league will be the best team”
