Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has named five nations he thinks will be among the favourites to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The 32-year-old finally tasted international success with his country at the 2016 European Championship, despite going off injured in the first half of the final against France.
Ahead of the World Cup in June, Ronaldo has suggested that Portugal will not be among the favourites to win the competition, and named five nations who he feels will be.

“Germany, Spain, Brazil, France and Argentina are going to be the favourites,” he told Chinese outlet Doonqiudi at Valdebebas.

“Despite the fact that Portugal won’t be included among the favourites, we always compete and will do so again.”
Ronaldo has scored 79 goals in 147 appearances for Portugal, making him his country’s record scorer.
