Liverpool managed to resist Barcelona’s heavy interest on Philippe Coutinho during the summer, and kept their star man at Anfield for another season.
The player himself handed a transfer request to the club, but the Reds still didn’t want to hear.
However, the transfer failed to materialise and he started performing again for the Merseyside club, scoring five goals in 10 appearances.

Some say that he’s performing at his best because he was promised that he will be let free to join Barcelona when the transfer window opens.
And that could happen in January.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Liverpool have put a price on the player’s head.
And that is no less than 145million euros.
If Barca agree to offer the crazy fee, that would make Coutinho the second most expensive transfer in the history.

Well, at least until Kylian Mbappe completes his 145million plus 35million move to Paris Saint-Germain, which will happen in the summer
Mundo Deportivo admit that Barca would be hesitant to pay such a large fee for a player that would be unable to play Champions League football for the remainder of the campaign with president Josep Maria Bartomeu wanting to pay a fixed €80m plus another €30m in variables.
