• Chelsea defender David Luiz is reportedly ready to take on a squad player role at Real Madrid
  • The Brazil international is not currently a regular for the Blues and has been linked with an exit
  • Despite his problems at Chelsea, Luiz is happy to accept a similar role at the Bernabeu
  • Chelsea defender David Luiz is reportedly prepared to accept Real Madrid’s transfer offer despite giving him a similar role to the one he currently holds at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazil international is no longer first choice in Antonio Conte’s side after a dip in his performances saw the Blues boss replace him with talented young centre-back Andreas Christensen.
According to Diario Gol, Luiz has agreed terms on a loan move to Real Madrid with a view to a permanent deal, and does not mind being third choice at the Bernabeu.
The report states that he’s been told Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane remain first choice, but it seems Luiz is that keen to leave Chelsea that he’ll accept not playing as much at his next club either.
  • UOL claim Luiz feels his Chelsea career is over under Conte, while the Daily Express have also linked the 30-year-old with a possible move to Manchester United amid all this uncertainty
