Manchester United return to Premier League action with a trip to face Southampton and
Jose Mourinho has a selection problem to solve.
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have both impressed in recent outings, but the
presence of Romelu Lukaku ensures they are likely to be competing for one place on
the left wing.
Paul Pogba is out and joins long term injured duo Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic
on the sidelines.
The back five should stay unchanged from the Everton win. Up until Henrikh
Mkhitaryan's clincher, United's defenders were their most consistent performers.

Southampton have scored at home once from open play in 759 minutes and having
Marouane Fellaini in with Nemanja Matic might be too cautious. Fellaini became
gradually pragmatic last week and Mourinho felt Ander Herrera sparked an
improvement. Fellaini is a better impact sub and might be a valuable option.
Anthony Martial gets the nod on the left flank after his crowdpleasing performances at
Old Trafford over the last week. Marcus Rashford could still emerge to have a pivotal
role.
United's big-hitters should return after their mid week rest against Burton, which means
starts for Matic, Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly.
While the defence has done well so far this season the left back position remains up
for grabs and it's time that Luke Shaw got the opportunity to stake his claim.
Herrera is an option to replace Paul Pogba but Fellaini has done well in the centre
over the last two weeks, and Martial's recent performances at Old Trafford merit a
place from the start on the south coast.

Following Paul Pogba's injury, realistically, there are now only three places up for
grabs in this United line-up - at left-back, central midfield and on the left wing.

It would be a little bit of a risk to throw Luke Shaw in for his first start despite his
cameo against Burton so Daley Blind should again return.
Marouane Fellaini is particularly useful in away games and offers a welcome set-piece
threat and Ander Herrera could help tighten things up from the bench if necessary.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have swapped the starting and substitute role a
lot this season, but the Wythenshawe lad should just edge it if fit.
